I'm Nolen.
I started Support Side Tech to build the software businesses actually need, not another generic app they have to work around.
If your day still lives in spreadsheets, email threads, and tools that almost fit, that's the problem I like to solve. I design and build custom web apps, client portals, rental booking sites, and internal tools: scoped clearly, built cleanly, and kept maintainable.
The short version
Software on the support side of the business.
Most growing businesses don't need a 40-person agency or a bloated SaaS subscription. They need one person who can listen, scope a real tool, and ship it.
That's the role I take. I talk to the people who run the work (owners, dispatchers, front-desk staff) and turn messy processes into clean systems: job tracking, intake, portals, inventory, booking, reporting. Whatever is currently leaking time.
Support Side is still early, and that's intentional. I take on work I can stand behind, keep pricing transparent, and stay close to the product after it launches. You work with the person who writes the code.
How I work
A few things you can count on
Clear scope first
We agree on the problem, the first useful version, and the price before I write a line of production code. No surprise invoices, no vague retainers.
I build it myself
Custom web apps, backends, and integrations. You talk to the person shipping the work, not an account manager translating for a distant team.
Useful over theatrical
I skip features that look impressive in a demo and die in week two. The goal is a tool your team actually opens on a Tuesday morning.
Built to last
Clean code, straightforward hosting, and systems you can keep running. I don't lock you into a black box you can't understand or hand off later.
What I focus on
The work I take on
Custom web apps
Scheduling, job tracking, intake, inventory, and reporting built around your workflow.
Client portals
Status updates, documents, and request intake so clients stop living in your inbox.
Rental booking sites
Availability calendars, reservations, and check-in for equipment, vehicles, venues, or property rentals.
Internal tools
Work orders, CRM-lite, dashboards, and ops systems for the people running the day.
Service businesses
HVAC, plumbing, cleaning, contractors: jobs, dispatch, and customer updates.
Rental companies
Equipment, vehicle, venue, and property rentals that need a booking site customers can actually use.

No pitch deck. Send a short note about your business and the problem. I'll tell you honestly whether I can build something that fixes it, and what that would look like.
